THINGS TO CONSIDER

Rubbish disposal options

~ Skip / a skip can be hired or removal companies for larger projects

~ Self removal and disposal / removal of all old materials and the rubbish at the end of the job can be done usually for free at the local refuse centre or local recycling centres, FLOORLINE CREATIONS can seek local recycling companies and guide the process.(after self removal pictures and further analysis will need doing)

~ Labour costs & disposal costs /

~ Type of flooring & colour schemes`

~ Dates for the job & how to prepare for the upheaval and time needed to do the job at hand correctly

~ Furniture clearance~we need clear areas ready to begin work

~ Measure the area wall to wall (online assistance available)

~ Pictures of the area can be sent over for analysis (pictures of the subfloor if possible are a major help to begin with)

~ The subfloor will need to examined best way possible to determine how the job will taken care of and potential preparation costs and rough time the job could take (a site visit is needed before final quote of any job)

~ Prepare for any damp issues or other potential subfloor failures that will need to be examined before any final quote is to be made

~ A detailed drawing of the area can be sent over and for larger commercial projects plans can be emailed over for full analysis

~ Parking for fitters & material delivery as most materials need 24 hours to acclimatize before fitting

~ A detailed plan will always need to be made around the fitters, they will need areas to themselves 90% of the time for professional preparation works and then also to fit the flooring, drying times vary from summer to winter and site conditions always need to be factored into the planning when dealing with wet glues and expandable materials, a lot can go wrong when site conditions are not good enough for the fitters to do there job

~ When fitters arrive they need areas clear of rubbish and any trades, flooring is time sensitive and certain things need doing in the time given without intrusion or delays or fitters will have to be paid extra for hold ups not discussed beforehand with us, as time and money is wasted with these issues

~ On larger commercial projects there are ways we can work around trades etc and make viable routes of progress, but to keep our floors clean and looking newly fitted and not look like its been down for years by time the end of the job comes about is of the utmost importance to us (protection is advised and can be laid as we go) There is nothing worse than ending a job and once its all cleaned up and trades have left than having to look at our floors and see scratches and scuffs all over.
